Will your idea become reality?
Have you always wanted to create an app, game or digital platform? Let your creativity run wild! The Concept and Creation exchange programme gives you the space you need to develop your ideas into smart concepts. Learn by doing and work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of students from different schools, disciplines and parts of the world. Together you will go through all the steps that are needed to launch your product. So, what will be your role? Marketeer, designer, developer, social media expert or…?
What's Concept and Creation like?
The Concept and Creation exchange programme is a collaboration between the IT and Communication departments. The main goal is to create and market your own digital concept, such as an app, platform or game. This is a full-time bachelor's level programme worth 30 ECTS credits. Below you can read how the course is structured.
-
-
International course (1 ECTS credits)
The student can give a presentation of 30 minutes for a mixed audience about the differences in (inter)cultural aspects between The Netherlands and their home country.
-
Project (24 ECTS credits)
You work in multidisciplinary teams with students from different schools, disciplines and parts of the world. You will formulate your goal together and everybody contributes using his or her own expertise, such as app development, UX design or marketing.
You start with brainstorming about digital media concepts for the problem you came up with. Two of your best ideas will be researched on feasibility, target group and market potential. These detailed plans then will be presented to a Dragon’s Den. The winning idea will be further developed. How far your start-up will take you, is up to you as a team. The more energy, passion and time you put into your concept, the more you will learn about making it in the real world. Your aim is to at least have a working prototype by the end of the semester, but preferably a ‘ready to ship’ product that you can put on the market with an external partner.
