Security Engineering

(Autumn and spring)

With the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) and the omnipresence of connectivity, protecting your business assets is a huge challenge.

Would you like to work in multidisciplinary teams researching security threads and preventing them using advanced technology?  Then the exchange programme Security Engineering is right for you!

Security Engineering

About the programme

In this exchange programme you will learn, in various phases, in collaboration with actual clients, to investigate the possibilities and solutions in cybersecurity. You will work on new applications using procedures, protocols, tools and technology. Conducting research, developing proof-of-concepts and/or building prototypes form a substantial part of most projects.

Multidisciplinary approach

Security engineering, the design and development of adequate security measures, needs a multidisciplinary approach covering all layers of an enterprise: business, application and technical (infrastructure, sensors).

Group work

You will work in a group with Dutch students and you follow classes with other international students. This will help you to develop intercultural skills.

Credits back home

As an international exchange student at Windesheim, you will get study credits that may count towards the qualification you are studying for back home. So studying at Windesheim doesn’t have to mean extending your overall study time. You will make a ‘learning agreement’ covering your stay.

Entry requirements

Two years of bachelor studies in a relevant field and English-language skills at B2 level.

Total ECTS Credits: 30
Level: Bachelor
