Windesheim still a top-class University, say students

80% of Windesheim students are (highly) satisfied with their degree programme. With this high score, the university is again runner-up in the category of major university of applied sciences.

This is reflected in the results of the National Student Survey, which was recently published. As in recent years, Windesheim again scores well above the national average, with general student satisfaction at 80%.

Satisfied with Lecturers and Student Counselling

All higher professional education (HBO) students in the Netherlands were interviewed on seventeen different topics. On almost all topics Windesheim students are more satisfied than other HBO students in the Netherlands. Windesheim lecturers and student counselling scored particularly well: they are assessed as considerably better than the national average. 'A great compliment for all lecturers and staff who work hard every day to make sure students not only receive high-quality education here, but also feel at home and get proper supervision,' says Henk Hagoort, president of Windesheim’s executive board.

Both English-taught Bachelor's programmes were given high scores as well: 79% of the International Business students are (highly) satisfied. The national average for this degree programme is 66%. 88% of the students are (highly) satisfied with the general atmosphere in this Windesheim programme.

Of the students doing the Global Project and Change Management programme, 86% are (highly) satisfied. Here too, the general atmosphere is assessed very positively, with satisfaction as high as 89%. Because this is a unique degree programme, their results cannot be compared with similar programmes at other universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands.

About the National Student Survey

The National Student Survey is a large-scale national survey by Studiekeuze123, in which all higher-education students are asked how they feel about various aspects of their degree programme. The survey results offer the programmes clues on how to improve their educational quality.
