I value the opportunity to work on my personal growth and leadership skills
I am a first-year student originally from Germany with roots in Africa. A wise person once told me, “The best service you can give to yourself is by being of greater service to others.” And that’s exactly the path I’m on. I believe in the power of community learning and sharing, where people work on personal growth while connecting and learning from each other. And I have found it in the Global Project and Change Management community.
Growing up in both Europe and Africa has opened my eyes to the stark disparities in lifestyles and opportunities that exist around the world.
I’ve come to realize that I want to use my privilege to create positive change within the world. True fulfilment for me, comes not only by being successful and happy alone, but from creating equal opportunities and fostering spaces for personal growth and well-being for all, so that we can thrive together. That’s why I’m passionate about working towards a world where everyone has the chance to thrive, regardless of their background.
In joining the Global Project and Change Management programme, I’m excited to expand my horizons and develop the skills needed to initiate positive change. The programme allows us to pursue our diverse interests and provides us with the necessary skills to become change-makers and be the change we want to see. Whether it’s advocating for human rights, delving into sustainable business practices, or supporting NGOs, I’m eager to make a difference.
Next to the freedom we have to pursue our interests in this programme, I value the opportunity to work on my personal growth and leadership skills as well.
As a student member of the ME-Team, I have the opportunity to co-create our ME learning journey at our programme, giving students’ voices and perspectives a place in the designing of our personal learning journey.
I’m glad that I have found a programme that provides me with the necessary skills to become a change-maker and also allows me to combine my interests and personal values in one programme. All within a diverse, international and inclusive environment where community learning and connecting are highly appreciated.
