  3. Šárka Global Project and Change Management

Studying Global Project and Change Management at Windesheim has been a life-changing experience for me. What I appreciate the most is the community we have – since it’s a small-scale programme, we all know each other, no matter which year you are in, both students and lecturers. There is incredible support and always someone to talk to. The lecturers and student counsellors are always available, providing support and guidance. The study, as well as the entire university, seeks feedback from students for constant improvement, to adapt to their current needs and get some new ideas. For example, there is a student council.

The lecturers come from different backgrounds and are very knowledgeable and understanding. Theory is nicely balanced with practical applications, real-life projects and clients, the opportunity to build networks, and there is usually a space for personalization. As we are all unique individuals, there are opportunities to make the learnings as relevant for you as possible, choosing different focus areas in assignments.

Soft skills, people skills, personal development

There is a great emphasis on soft skills, people skills, and personal development. Finding out who you want to be as a person in today’s world, what qualities you want to develop, what change you wish to bring to the world, and what your passion is. I have learned so much about myself thanks to this programme and I believe everyone should be encouraged to spend some hours on their personal development, with some guidance.

Safe city

The modern campus has everything necessary for a student, and the city – Zwolle – is a beautiful place to live. It’s not too big and not too small, and located just close enough to other bigger cities. It is also a very safe city.

I will always be grateful for the education and support I have received during my study at Windesheim, and I know I am now equipped both personally and professionally for my future career and life.
