Tuition fees

If you study with us, you may have to pay tuition fees. The size of the fees will depend on various factors, including your nationality.


Regular tuition fees for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes

Tuition fees differ, depending on whether you come from inside or outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA). For the academic year 2020-2021, students who meet the nationality criterion pay the basic statutory tuition fee of €2,143 (in the first year only €1,072 in the most situations). Other students pay the institutional tuition fee of €7,500.

Nationality criterion meet the nationality criterion if any of these apply:

• You are a national of an EU/EEA country, Switzerland or Surinam.
• You have a residence permit that gives you the same status as a Dutch national.
• You are married to or have a cohabitation contract with someone who is a national of an EU/EEA country, Switzerland of Surinam.

Members of the EU or EEA

The following countries are considered to be members of the EU or EEA:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. (For deciding tuition fees, Switzerland is treated as an EU/EEA country.) 

No tuition fees for exchange programmes

Windesheim does not charge fees to international students from our partner universities on exchange (including double degree) programmes. However, if you have to pay fees to your home institution, you'll probably have to go on paying them while you're here. Questions? Please contact our International Office.
