I am Maria, a first year student of International Business from Chile. I decided to study in this programme at Windesheim because I am passionate about understanding the global economy and how businesses operate in different cultures. The programme's focus on practical experience really drew my attention, and I knew that a university of applied sciences like Windesheim would be the perfect place to gain the real-world experience I was looking for.

I appreciate the focus on practical experience
My experiences so far have been great. I have had the opportunity to learn from the professors and participate in classes with my peers. Also, I have had the chance to apply what I have learned through group projects, which I consider one of the best aspects of studying at Windesheim. I really appreciate that the programme focuses on practical experience and applied learning. I feel that doing real projects and using what I have learned in real situations is the best way to improve my skills. And also, I find the international perspective of the programme to be very valuable.

It took me some time to get used to the level of independence
One of the challenges for me has been to adjust to the academic expectations and style of teaching in the Netherlands. As an international student, it took some time to get used to the level of independence and self-directed learning that is required in the programme.
One of the most important things I have learned is the importance of cultural awareness and understanding in international business. Also, I have gained valuable skills in areas such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, which are all essential in the learning environment of Windesheim.

Engaging and interactive classes
I have a very positive opinion about Windesheim. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the classes are engaging and interactive. Zwolle: easy to get around
Zwolle is a welcoming city that has a great sense of community. It is also a very safe and well-maintained place; I appreciate the variety of things to do. Also, the city has a great student community, including international students, and it is relatively small, making it easy to get around. Plus, the fact that almost everything is within biking distance makes it very convenient for students.
I really like the Netherlands, the friendly people, and its biking culture. I appreciate the fact that biking is the main mode of transportation, which makes it very easy to get around. The Netherlands is a very safe and well-organized country which makes it a great place to live and study. Most importantly, almost everyone speaks English, which makes it easy for international students to communicate.

I’ve experienced a lot of personal growth
One of the biggest challenges for me has been to adjust to the different culture and way of life in the Netherlands. It took some time for me to get used to the Dutch customs and traditions. Also, sometimes it can be challenging to maintain the connection with my family back home, but I have found ways to stay connected with my loved ones back in Chile. The language was also a big challenge for me, but I have been able to improve my Dutch language skills a bit over time. In general, I believe that the challenges I have faced have been worth it, as I have gained a lot of experiences and achieved personal growth.
