Positive Behavior Support in het voortgezet onderwijs (Positive Behaviour Support in secondary education)

Ga naar uitgeverijThis book is a guide for teams that are implementing (or considering the implementation of) School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) in secondary schools. The book was published in 2014 by Uitgeverij SWP. It features contributions by Dik van Donselaar and Pim Kalkman and is edited by professor Sui Lin Goei.

SWPBS is a strategy for preventing and dealing with bullying and problem behaviour throughout the school. Staff, pupils, parents and carers commit to a code, helping to establish a secure learning environment with fewer behavioural incidents.

Book edited by professor Dolf van Veen

The book Developing Community Schools, Community Learning Centers, Extended-service Schools and Multi-service Schools: International Exemplars for Practice, Policy, and Research is published by Springer and edited by Hal Lawson (State University of New York, Albany) and professor Dolf van Veen (Windesheim).

The book contains various articles by authors from the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Belgium, the United Kingdom and elsewhere, describing 'community schools' in the various countries. A community school is a joint initiative by a school and community partners to establish a varied, multi-functional learning environment. The book has been very well received in a number of countries and is recommended on the website of The Children's Aid Society.
