Erik Veldhuizen
Erik Veldhuizen is associate professor in Family Businesses at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. He also teaches business economics.

Research focus
His research mainly focuses on the social aspects related to (agricultural) business succession, self- financing with multiple owners and internationalisation in family businesses. The practice-oriented research includes tools such as family interviews, drafting a family statute and making an owner plan.
Education
Erik studied Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2008, he received his PhD from the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology.
Research experience
After his PhD, Erik worked as a statistical researcher and project manager at Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek. In 2015, he made the move to Windesheim where he started as a senior researcher at the professorship Family Businesses.
