Windesheim SDG Challenge Final has all winners!
On Wednesday, 2nd of December Windesheim hosted the Final of the Windesheim SDG Challenge. The challenge was organised by the SDG Impact Lab and Soapbox. Two awards were given away, the Jury Award and the Audience Award. But the best thing is that the majority of the companies already decided invite the teams back to their offices in 2021 and to implement the ideas!
The teams worked on SDG Challenges from the companies Zeeman, Ace & Tate, Provincie Overijssel, Tesselaar Alstroemeria and Walraven.
Only winners
During the Final at Windesheim, where the majority joined online, each team pitched their ideas to the jury consisting of Mena Leila Kilani from SDG Nederland, Yoël Schuller from Floriade and Liesbeth Rijsdijk from Windesheim Honours College. Team Zeeman won the Jury Award and Team Walraven won the Audience Award. But all teams delivered a top performance. “And in a challenge like this, there are only winners since we all contribute to a positive impact for our world”, according to Yme Quispel from Soapbox. It was a successful afternoon and challenge. In addition, many of the companies have invited the Teams to continue to collaborate on the initiatives and ideas they proposed during the process and during the Final.
About the SDG Challenge
The Challenge was organised to give students and staff members the chance to work with the SDGs (sustainable development goals) in multidisciplinary teams. In total 32 students and 4 staff members participated from the programmes International Business, Law, Global Project and Change Management and Business Administration (Bedrijfskunde) Almere. They worked together on five challenges from companies under guidance of Soapbox. They created this formula and it turned out to be a great and energetic format!
